Wolfgang Pache (born May 15, 1959 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The striker Wolfgang Pache began his career at VfB Beverungen in the Höxter district and moved to 1. FC Paderborn in the Westphalia Association in the summer of 1977 . A year later, Pache and his team missed the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga after losing playoffs against Holstein Kiel . Now the Paderborn players played in the newly created Oberliga Westfalen and were runner-up there in 1980 behind SpVgg Erkenschwick , which later also rose to the 2nd Bundesliga. Pache moved to Erkenschwick and celebrated his professional debut on August 16, 1980 in the 1: 4 defeat of Erkenschwick at OSV Hannover .

With eleven goals in 39 games, Pache was the top scorer of his team, but could not prevent the relegation of the Erkenschwicker as the penultimate. He then returned to 1. FC Paderborn and was the top scorer in the 1982/83 season with 30 goals. Pache then moved to the second division promoted Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , where he had a large share in relegation with eleven goals in 28 games. Nevertheless, he returned to 1. FC Paderborn for a year before moving to FC Gütersloh in the summer of 1985 . Two years later he was transferred to KSV Hessen Kassel , where he was runner-up with the team in the Oberliga Hessen .

From 1988 to 1990 Wolfgang Pache let his career come to an end with the Paderborn amateur club Blau-Weiß Wewer . Then he trained the TSV Tudorf . In addition, Pache published several crime novels .
