Wolfgang Pesendorfer (lawyer)

Wolfgang Pesendorfer (born December 20, 1949 in Traunkirchen ) is an Austrian legal scholar . From 1993 to 2007 he was Vice President of the Austrian Administrative Court .

Life

Wolfgang Pesendorfer studied law at the Johannes Kepler University Linz and was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . From 1974 to 1976 he worked as a university assistant at the Institute for Administrative Law and Administrative Doctrine at the University of Linz and in 1976 joined the service of the Province of Upper Austria . In 1985 he became a university lecturer in constitutional and administrative law ordered after about the function of the Governor habilitation had. In 1987 he was appointed head of the constitutional service department in the office of the Upper Austrian provincial government (Landtag director).

In 1993 Pesendorfer was appointed Vice President of the Administrative Court. Since 1994 he has been an associate professor for administrative reform law at the University of Linz. In 1999 he became a substitute member of the Constitutional Court on the proposal of the federal government . On July 1, 2007, Pesendorfer retired in his function as Vice-President of the Administrative Court, and on September 24, 2007 he also resigned as a substitute at the Constitutional Court.

After leaving the Administrative Court, Wolfgang Pesendorfer worked as a trainee lawyer and attorney. According to information from the newspaper Wirtschaftsblatt (edition of April 21, 2011), insolvency proceedings were opened against Wolfgang Pesendorfer in his function as a lawyer in the private sector. With effect from May 4, 2012, the bankruptcy was lifted. Wolfgang Pesendorfer no longer works as a lawyer.

Pesendorfer is a member of the Catholic student association KaV Austro-Danubia Linz in the ÖCV .
