Wolfgang Pfeifer (politician)

Rudolf Wolfgang Pfeifer (born September 28, 1946 in Leisnig ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1994 to 2009 he was a member of the Saxon State Parliament .

Life and work

Wolfgang Pfeifer attended the general education polytechnic high school and graduated from the 10th grade. This was followed by an apprenticeship as a papermaker in Golzern from 1963 to 1965. From 1966 to 1969 he attended the engineering school for paper and packaging technology in Altenburg and then worked from 1970 as a plant engineer. From 1974 to 1976 he completed a partial course in commercial law at the Humboldt University in Berlin. From 1980 to 1986 he then studied law at the same university.

After reunification, he became works manager / works manager from 1990 to 1995, with the employment relationship having been suspended since January 1995 shortly after taking up his mandate. He has also worked as a lawyer since 1994. He is married, has three children and is a member of the Protestant church.

Wolfgang Pfeifer has been a CDU member since August 1990. Within his party, he has been a board member since 1991 and was district chairman of the CDU Döbeln from 1995 to 2008 . At the municipal level, he was a member of the district council in the Döbeln district from 1990 to 2008 .

From 1994 to 2009 Pfeifer was a member of the Saxon State Parliament through a direct mandate in the constituency of Döbeln . There he was a member of the Committee on Economics, Labor and Transport, the Constitutional, Legal and European Committee, the Election Review Committee and the Budget and Finance Committee. In the state elections in 2009 , Sven Liebhauser was selected as the candidate for the direct mandate in the constituency Döbeln instead of Pfeifer . Lieberhauser won the mandate, Pfeifer left the state parliament at the end of the 4th legislative period.

In addition to his party-political engagement, he has been President of the Privileged Citizens' Protection Society Leisnig 1421 e. V. and member of the Lions Club Döbeln.
