Wolfgang Pietrzok
Wolfgang Pietrzok (* 1949 in Eilum , Lower Saxony ) is a German photographer and art educator .
life and work
Pietrzok studied from 1970 to 1971 at the Werkkunstschule Hannover with Raimund Girke . He then studied from 1971 to 1975 at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste / GHS Kassel with Floris Michael Neusüss , Reiner Kallhardt and Harry Kramer . He completed his training with the first and second state examinations for the artistic teaching profession. He lives and works in Saarbrücken and Viens (Provence).
Wolfgang Pietrzok works primarily in groups of works. Since the 90s he has been developing serial works and the series of works called "Pinches". Influenced by Floris Neusüss and his nudograms as well as by Yves Klein's anthropometries of the blue era, photographic works of female and male nudes were created in predominantly blue color on a pane of glass. In addition to individual images, Pietrzok recently staged multi-part tableaus, which, thanks to the targeted planning of the recording fields, made it possible to intensify movements and fragmentations. In 2004 the series of works of “Cubes” followed with motifs from the quarry of Ménerbes / Provence and pressed steel cubes from Saarstahl / Völklingen . From 2013 the series "on the way / en route" was created with decaying miniatures of well-known architectural monuments.
