Wolfgang Puschmann (theologian)
Wolfgang Puschmann (* 1943 in Lüneburg ) is a German Lutheran theologian and pastor. From 1998 to 2008 he was city superintendent in Hanover and the highest representative of the city church association Hanover . In 2010 he was awarded the Hanover city badge.
Life
Wolfgang Puschmann was born in Lüneburg in 1943. He studied Protestant theology in Hamburg , Tübingen and Kiel . In 1972 he became pastor of the parish St.-Jürgen-Nord in Kiel . In 1977 he moved to Celle , where he became pastor at the Kreuzkirche. He also took over the chairmanship of an examination committee for the second theological examination at the Theological Academy in Celle. In 1986 he became pastor at the Pauluskirche in Hanover and superintendent of the former church district Hanover-South. In 1998 he was appointed city superintendent of Hanover and pastor at the Marktkirche . In this position Puschmann was the representative and head of the City Church Association of Hanover and deputy of the state superintendent of the Hanover district until he retired in 2008 .
Puschmann's successor as city superintendent of Hanover was Hans-Martin Heinemann .
