Wolfgang Stolp

Wolfgang Stolp (* 5. December 1946 in Berlin ) is a German officer of the Armed Forces and was from 1 April 2003 to 31 December 2011 President of the Federal Office for Information Management and Information Technology of the Bundeswehr (IT Office) in Koblenz .

Wolfgang Stolp was trained as a banker in 1964 and 1965 . In 1965 he joined the Federal Armed Forces administration and was employed in the career of the "higher non-technical administrative service ". From 1981 to 1983 he was a consultant in the “Budget” working group in the SPD parliamentary group. In 1985 he rose to the " higher service " career group in the Bundeswehr administration . From 1989 to 1996 he was head of the " IT organization" in the SPD parliamentary group, and from 1998 to 2003, he headed the sub-department "defense planning and central duties" of the Department of armor in the Federal Ministry of Defense (MoD).

Stolp is widowed and has two daughters.
