Wolfgang Tzschupke

Wolfgang Tzschupke (born February 5, 1945 in Wurzen ) is a retired German university professor for forestry management and a forestry expert.

Life

The son of a Prussian forester spent his school days in Kehl am Rhein. From 1966 to 1970 he studied forest sciences at the University of Freiburg and after graduating he worked as a research assistant at Gerd Hildebrandt's department for aerial photography and remote sensing . In 1974 he was awarded " summa cum laude" Dr. rer. nat. PhD.

After that was Tzschupke among other Forsteinrichter in Odenwald and lecturer at the former Forest Agency Karlsruhe and in 1981 at the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry, where he, among other, the first National Forest Inventory prepared. In addition, he was project representative for research into the causes of forest dieback at the Karlsruhe Nuclear Research Center .

From 1985 to 1990 Tzschupke headed the Freudenstadt State Forestry Office. During this time he declined an appointment as a professor at a university for personal reasons. He was a lecturer at the Forestry Faculty of the University of Freiburg, where he qualified as a professor for forest management and remote sensing.

From 1991 Tzschupke was professor and prorector at the University of Applied Sciences Rottenburg , where he held the office of rector from 1995 to 2001.

Tzschupke lives in Freudenstadt , is married and has two children. His hobbies are hiking, recent history, painting, and postage stamps.

Northern Black Forest National Park

As a committed forest scientist, Wolfgang Tzschupke has turned against the project of the state of Baden-Württemberg to establish a national park in the Northern Black Forest with several reports .
