Wolfgang von Zoubek

Wolfgang von Zoubek (born August 23, 1959 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian set and lighting designer .

Career

From 1984 to 1987 von Zoubek a. a. at Stanford University Design , in 1994 he became theater master in Munich . He began working as a lighting technician at the Salzburg Festival under the direction of Herbert von Karajans and Schneider Siemsen . Further stations were the Bayreuth and Bregenz Festivals , the Rossini Opera Festival (ROP) in Pesaro , and the Opera Festival in Istanbul .

In 2004, he brought along with Giancarlo del Monaco Otello by Giuseppe Verdi on the stage of the St. Gallen Theater .

Zoubek works internationally and worked with the directors Luigi Alva , Tebbe Harms Kleen , Giancarlo del Monaco , Claudio Abbado , Pierluigi Pizzi , Pepe de Tomaso , Reto Nickler , Georg Rootering , Ulrich Peters , Sigwulf Turek , Jonathan Eaton , Flavio Trevisan , Luis Pasqual , Hugo de Ana , Tobias Wellemayer , Herbert Wernicke , Patricia Panton and Mario Corradi together.

In the 2010s von Zoubek worked increasingly in the field of building illumination in Germany and internationally. Especially in the Near and Middle East, he deals with the planning and implementation of major projects in the field of light projection on facade surfaces.
