Wolfram Syré

Wolfram Syré (* 1950 ) is a German organist and musicologist.

Syré studied organ , harpsichord and musicology ( doctorate ) in Cologne , Hamburg and Paris . His teachers were Michael Schneider , Marie-Claire Alain and Hugo Ruf . He is a prizewinner at the international organ competition in Bruges . He held positions as organist at the Kreuzbergkirche in Bonn (1972 to 1981), at St. Martin in Oldendorf, at St. Bartholomäus in Mittelkirchen and at the Johanniskirche in Stade . From 2000 to 2010 he was cantor in Sande (Möre & Romsdal / Norway). In 2003 he teaches at the Grieg Music Academy in Bergen. In addition to his work as a concert organist, he also publishes music editions. From 2012 onwards he has published his recordings of organ music on the Internet (over 1,000 interpretations so far). On his initiative and with his assistance, the first recording of all of Vincent Lübeck's works came about.

He has lived in Clausthal-Zellerfeld since 2010 and is organist at the Marktkirche St. Aegidien in Osterode am Harz.
