Wolfram table
Wolfram Tischer (born August 7, 1930 in Zittau ; † December 7, 2015 ) was a German pediatric surgeon and university professor.
Life
Tischer studied medicine at the University of Leipzig from 1949 . In 1954 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD. In 1963 he completed his habilitation with Fritz Meißner . In 1969 he accepted an appointment at the Ernst Moritz Arndt University in Greifswald . He set up a department for pediatric surgery at the Department of Surgery . He dealt particularly with myelodysplasia and hydrocephalus and promoted pediatric urology . He was dean , director for medical care, chairman of the pediatric surgery section of the Society for Surgery of the GDR and chairman of the central specialist commission for pediatric surgery at the Academy for Medical Training. In 1986 he returned to Leipzig as director of his previous clinic. After his retirement he lived in Greifswald again.
