The wolf head is a wooded, 1525.8  m above sea level. NHN high summit in the ridge of the Trauchberge in the Ammergau Alps , about 14 kilometers northeast of Füssen .

The summit is easy to reach via forest roads. The view is restricted by the forest that extends up to the summit. A summit cross with a summit book is available.
