Wolkentanz ( 21st April 1991 - 15. October 2010 ), also known as Wolkentanz I was a Hanoverian stallion , who in the State Stud Celle as stallion standing. Among his offspring are important dressage horses .

Wolkentanz was bred by Gerd and Ursula Lühr. The fox was born on April 21, 1991 and measured 165 cm when fully grown. His father was Weltmeyer (1984–2011), his mother “Lovely” (1987–?), A state premium mare (SPS). Weltmeyer was an influential sire of the Hanoverian breed, the "Stallion of the Year 1998", among whose offspring 70 were licensed stallions.

Wolkentanz had a good exterior and excellent gaits . In 1993, when he was two years old, he was licensed at the stallion licensing in Verden. In 1995 he passed the stallion performance test with a score of 133.78 and was classified as the best stallion in his age group. In 1996 he became Bundeschampion , ridden by Ole Köhler . He became known for his appearances at the dressage quadrille of the Celle Stallion Parade .

Wolkentanz became one of the best stallions for dressage horses in Germany. 22 of his offspring were successful in advanced level dressage, 102 were state premium mares and 21 were licensed stallions. In 2005, the German Equestrian Association certified him a breeding value index of 157 points and an inheritance accuracy of 97 percent. His dressage value of 152 was also high.

He was living in the Aurich breeding station in 2010 when he suffered a ruptured bowel on October 14th . He was taken to the veterinary college and put to sleep .

Wolkentanz had a younger full brother, Wolkentanz II (* 1995), who was exported to Canada in 2009 and died in 2015.
