Wollmar Filip Boström (born June 15, 1878 in Överselö , † November 7, 1956 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish tennis player and diplomat .

Boström took part in the Olympic Games in London in 1908 and in Stockholm in 1912 . At the 1908 Games, he won the bronze medal in the doubles competition (Halle) alongside Gunnar Setterwall . In 1912 he remained without winning a medal despite participating in five of six competitions. From 1909 to 1913 he was also President of the Swedish Tennis Association.

After completing his studies at Uppsala University , he began working in the diplomatic service in 1903. Until 1918 he held various administrative offices and was cabinet secretary from 1918 to 1922. He then became Swedish ambassador to Spain and Portugal , before being ambassador to the United States from 1925 to 1945 . His father Filip August Boström was President of the Södermanland Province . Wollmar Boström was also the nephew of Erik Gustaf Boström , his father's brother, who was Prime Minister of Sweden twice . In the course of his diplomatic career, he has received several honorary doctorates , including from Uppsala University.

From 1907 he was married to Gertrude Wennerbergsgatan.
