Volodymyr Lavrynenko

Volodymyr Lavrynenko ( Ukrainian Володимир Лавриненко , scientific transliteration Volodymyr Lavrynenko ; born April 26, 1984 in Schytomyr ) is a Ukrainian classical pianist.

life and work

Lawrynenko took his first piano lessons at the age of 5. “He attended the Lyssenko special school for talented musicians and graduated with honors from B. Archimowitsch's class in Kiev in 2006 at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory ” .

He then completed additional studies at the Bern University of the Arts with Tomasz Herbut (concert diploma with distinction) and then at the Lucerne University with Konstantin Lifschitz . In 2012 he obtained the soloist diploma (Master of Arts Solo Performance) with distinction. Until 2014 he worked as assistant to Konstantin Lifschitz at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences. In 2014 he began studying at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater and obtained the concert exam with Evgeni Koroljow and Anna Vinnitskaja .

He won prizes from the Kiefer-Hablitzel Foundation as well as the Wladimir Horowitz Competition for Young Pianists in Kiev, the Karamanow Piano Competition in Simferopol and the Silvio Bengali Piano Prize in Val Tidone . In 2016 he won the International Schubert Competition Dortmund . In 2017 he received the Berenberg Culture Prize in Hamburg. Volodymyr Lavrynenko u. a. with Andrei Gawrilow , Dmitri Bashkirow , Alfred Brendel , Alexei Lyubimow and Leon Fleisher .

Lawrynenko has performed regularly as a soloist and chamber musician on international stages. Concert tours led him a. a. to the Czech Republic, Romania, Poland, Russia, France, Italy and Switzerland.
