The Wolverine River is a left tributary of the Seal River in the north of the Canadian province of Manitoba .

The Wolverine River drains a lake-rich tundra landscape in northern Manitoba and southern Nunavut . The river forms the drain of Baralzon Lake . It leaves this on its east bank, flows through the smaller lakes Phelps Lake and Bulloch Lake to flow into the northern end of Nejanilini Lake . It drains this to Little Duck Lake to the south . It continues its course south and flows through the lakes MacLeod Lake , Naelin Lake and Birch Canoe Lake . The latter has two drains to the Seal River, which runs south. The western main drain flows into the Seal River about 10 km east of Shetanei Lake . The smaller eastern branch flows 15 km downstream into the Seal River. The Wolverine has a length from the outlet of Baralzon Lake to its confluence with the Seal River of about 150 km. Major tributaries in the Wolverine River system are Andrew River and Duffin River .
