The Woodall Peak is a 720 m high mountain on the Dufek Coast in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises on the southern edge of the Ross Ice Shelf halfway between the confluences of the Good and Ramsey glaciers .
The mountain was discovered and photographed during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) during an overflight between February 29 and March 1, 1940. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1962 after the sailor Vance N. Woodall ( 1930–1947), who died on January 21, 1947 in a discharge accident as part of the US Operation Highjump (1946–1947).
