Wulf R. Halbach

Wulf R. Halbach (born January 24, 1961 in Hamburg ; † March 23, 2009 in Gladbeck ) was a German media and communication scientist .

Life

He completed his studies in German , English , philosophy and computer science in France, Germany and the USA. His dissertation at the Ruhr University Bochum was published in 1994 under the title Interfaces. Media and communication theory elements of an interface theory published by Wilhelm Fink Verlag, Munich. The focus of his work can be found in the areas of interfaces , networks , virtual realities , new publics and fundamentally in the historical development of the changes that the new media bring about in our societies.

In 2005/2006 Halbach was a lecturer at the Institute for Media Studies at the Ruhr University in Bochum.
