Xío is one of five parroquias in the municipality of Illano in the autonomous region of Asturias in northern Spain .
The 23 inhabitants (2011) live in 11 buildings on an area of 4.67 km², which corresponds to a population density of 5 inhabitants / km². The municipal capital Illano is approx. 18 km away. The area around Xío is known for its trout and char which are caught here in the Rio Navia . The old oak and chestnut trees on the slope to the river are impressive .
