Franz Xaver Seidemann (born May 15, 1781 in Rackendorf , Hungary, † January 7, 1841 in Vienna ) was an Austrian Cistercian and 60th abbot of the Heiligenkreuz Abbey .

Life

On October 3rd, 1801 he was dressed in Heiligenkreuz, on October 21st, 1804 he took his vows and primed on April 7th, 1806. He worked from 1807 to 1812 as parish administrator in Trumau , from 1812 to 1816 held the offices of chamberlain and kitchen master and from 1812 to 1816 he was also a caster and cellar master . He also managed the Niederleis estate from 1817 to 1824 . On July 28, 1824 he was elected abbot and the following day he was appointed .
