Xaver Weiss

Xaver Weiss (born February 7, 1811 in Waldkirch ; † October 2, 1898 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Xaver Weiss studied law at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . In 1833 he became a member of the Corps Suevia Freiburg . In 1835 he became a legal intern in Ettenheim and in 1843 an official assessor in Stockach . In 1848 he was promoted to bailiff and in 1849 appointed to the head of the Blumenfeld district office . In 1853 he moved to the district office of Villingen , where he was promoted to senior magistrate in 1855 . From 1865 to 1867 he was the head of the Gengenbach district office . and from 1867 until his retirement in 1875 of the District Office of St. Blasien . From 1880 to 1887 he was mayor of his native Waldkirch. He then lived as a private citizen in Freiburg.
