Xie Fuzhan

Xie Fuzhan ( Chinese  谢伏瞻 ; * 1954 in Tianmen, Hubei Province ) is a Han Chinese who was director of the State Statistics Office of the People's Republic of China from 2006 to 2008 . He is currently the head of the Chinese Communist Party in Henan Province .

A graduate of the Central China University of Science and Technology in Huazong , he worked as a reporter for Renmin Ribao from 1980 to 1986 . From 1986 to 1989 worked as a scientist at the Development Research Center of the State Council . From 1991 to 1992 was a visiting student at Princeton University in the USA.

From 1999 to 2006 he was Deputy Director at the Development Research Center of the State Council of the People's Republic of China.

In 2007 he was one of the 127 members of the Discipline Control Commission of the 17th Party Congress .

From 2013 to 2016 he served as the governor of Henan Province.
