Xinxing (Alliance)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Xinxing ( Chin. New Star ) is an intra- China aviation alliance of regional airlines. It was founded in September 1997 and put into operation in January 1998 .

This alliance goes beyond the other global alliances in that aircraft and crew are mutually available in a pool.

Xinxing is part of a consolidation process of the Chinese airline market decided by the Chinese flight authority CAAC with the long-term goal of reducing the formerly more than forty airlines to twenty.
