Xuanxue
Xuanxue , the mystical teaching ( Chinese 玄學 / 玄学 , Pinyin Xuánxué , W.-G. Hsüan-hsüeh , Jyutping jyun 4 hok 6 - "Teaching of the difficult to grasp , mysterious teaching, mystical teaching, teaching of profound, mystical school , metaphysics ") , which is also called Neodaoism (Neotaoism) , is a philosophical current of Chinese philosophy from the time of the Wei and Jin dynasties of the 3rd and 4th centuries, which represents a further development of the philosophical Daoism of the works Daodejing and Zhuangzi and in the Taoist ideas are combined with Confucian . Even Buddhist influences are included (see. Emptiness, emptiness ). The term xuanxue goes back to the first chapter of Daodejing.
Wang Bi , Xiang Xiu , He Yan and Guo Xiang are among its most important representatives.
