Xylander (noble family)

Xylander is the name of an aristocratic family that begins with Lieutenant Colonel Johann Adolf Xylander , who fell in the War of the Spanish Succession (1701–1713) . His descendant, the electoral-Palatinate-Bavarian military provisions and barracks administrator Karl Xylander , received the imperial knighthood on July 4, 1792 with the name "Edler von Xylander". His son, the Bavarian major Carl Ritter and Edler von Xylander , was enrolled in the knight class in Bavaria with his siblings in 1809.

The coat of arms awarded at the time of the ennoblement is quartered and covered with a red heart shield with 4 silver balls. In fields 1 and 4 there is a half black eagle in silver at the slit, in 2 and 3 in blue there are three (2, 1) horizontal mill irons . The coat of arms has two helmets . On the right with black and silver covers a growing golden lion, on the left with blue and silver covers a silver mill iron between an open flight , blue on the right and silver on the left .
