Xynn
Xynn ( spelling XYNN ) is the music project and pseudonym of the German multimedia artist Michael Winter (1949–2018).
In 1978 Winter conceived a show in which he combined music, text, light, film projections, pantomime and theater fragments with masks and costumes, from 1980 with videos as background projection for his live shows.
In 1980 Vertigo Records released the first LP Dreams About Reality (arrangement Kristian Schultze ). The album was presented in the program Pop nach Acht (Bayern 3). In 1981 the second Vertigo LP Computed Man and two singles were released. TV appearances followed and a. on Okay (ORF, 1981) and Pop Stop (ARD / BR, 1982). Winter released other albums, samplers and videos on his own label Xynn-Factory .
In 1995, Winter brought a compilation of his shows from the 1980s to the stage in the "Mund + Art" theater he founded in Ringelai as the XYNN revival show , which he performed in 2002 at the Funky Kitchen club in Munich .
In 2016 Cleopatra Records released the double CD XYNN - The Complete Anthology 1979–1983 .
