Yıldo (born October 18, 1945 in Ereğli ; real name: Ahmet Yıldırım Benayyat) is a Turkish former football and volleyball player . After his career as an athlete, he worked as a television presenter and actor .

Athletic career

Yıldo first drew attention to himself in 1962. At the Turkish Athletics Championships, he set a new record in the 400-meter hurdles . In 1965 Yıldo moved to the Turkish football club Boluspor . After two years for Boluspor he went to Şekerspor and then to Galatasaray Istanbul and became a volleyball player. While at Galatasaray, his teammate Yavuz Işılay nicknamed him Yıldo . Before the 1971/72 season he switched back to football and was Turkish champions at the end of the season with Galatasaray. After this season he moved to İstanbulspor . Engagements at Sarıyer SK , Şekerspor and Gaziantepspor followed .

Television career

In 1993 Yıldo presented the show Süper Turnike on Star TV. He was also the presenter of late night shows on Star and Kral TV. She later played minor roles in various series and took part in the Turkish version of Dancing on Ice in 2007 .
