Yōrō (era)
Yōrō ( Japanese 養老 ) is a Japanese era ( Nengō ) from December 717 to September 724 according to the Gregorian calendar . The previous era name is Reiki , the following era is called Jinki . The era falls during the reign of the Emperor ( Tennō ) Shōmu .
The first day of the Yōrō era corresponds to December 24, 717, the last day was March 2, 724. The Yōrō era lasted eight years or 2261 days.
