Yacin Hehrlein (born June 16, 1964 in Gießen ) is a German television journalist .

Life

During his studies of history and Romance studies in Heidelberg and Seville , Hehrlein worked as a radio reporter and presenter for the Hessischer Rundfunk .

In 1992 he went to ZDF , where he worked in the main foreign affairs department, among other things, as head of the foreign journal service and as a reporter mainly in Latin America , numerous European countries and Africa . From 1997 to 1999 he moderated the foreign policy magazine auslandsjournal extra at 3sat .

Yacin Hehrlein has been the UK and Ireland correspondent at the ZDF studio in London since 1999 . In 2014 he worked for six months around the soccer world championship as a correspondent in the ZDF studio in Rio de Janeiro .

His dissertation at the University of Heidelberg was 1992 under the title Mission and Power. The political confrontation between the Dominican order in Peru and the viceroy Francisco de Toledo (1569–1581) published in the series Walberberger Studien.

Yacin Hehrlein lives in London and has a son.
