Yahel ( Hebrew יהל) is a kibbutz in the Arabah region of the Negev desert in southern Israel , a few hundred meters from the Jordanian border and about 65 kilometers from the city of Eilat .

The name Yahel is symbolic and means "(he) will put up a tent". It comes from the book of Isaiah ( Isa 13:20  EU ).

Yahel is the first kibbutz established by the Jewish reform movement in November 1976.

The Kibbutz Yahel home to around 50 members and candidates, which supply mainly by the agricultural cultivation of dates, pomelos, melons, watermelons and peppers, as well as by the attitude of 250 cows and various tourist attractions. In 2018, 194 residents lived there.

On the approximately 3.4 km² area there is also a synagogue , library, basketball court and accommodation for guests.
