Yamamay is an international Italian fashion chain owned by Inticom SpA in Gallarate . Mainly women's underwear , nightwear and swimwear are offered .
The Yamamay sales network includes over 500 franchised branches in Italy and more than 60 others in around 25 mainly European countries. 40 branches, eight of them abroad, are operated directly by Inticom. In 2008, Yamamay achieved a total turnover of 106 million euros.
The company or the label was established in 2001 and is half owned by the two founding families Garda from Samarate and Cimmino from Naples , who had previously worked in the fashion business for several generations. The first Yamamay store opened in September 2001 in Busto Arsizio , where the company has also sponsored the local Serie A women's volleyball club since 2006 .
