Yaman okay

Yaman Okay (born January 1, 1951 in Giresun , Turkey , † February 19, 1993 in İstanbul ) was a Turkish theater, film and television actor.

Life

He worked with the best Turkish directors , for example Yılmaz Güney . In Germany he became famous for his embodiment of Dursun in the multi-award-winning film 40 qm Deutschland (1986) by Tevfik Başer . He had previously been seen in the successful Turkish film Pehlivan (1984) at the Berlinale . After 40 square meters in Germany , Okay could be seen in other German productions, in Vatanyolu (1988) and the crime series Ein Fall für Zwei (1986). Participation in the German didactic series Korkmazlar (1988) for Turkish immigrants in Germany. Okay also played a major role in the Oscar- winning film Journey of Hope from 1990.

Okay died of cancer in 1993 . He was married to actress Meral Okay .
