Yane Márcia Campos da Fonseca Marques (born January 7, 1984 in Afogados da Ingazeira ) is a Brazilian pentathlete .

Career

Yane Marques took part in the Olympic Games three times . In 2008 in London she reached 18th place. Four years later she won the bronze medal in London . At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she was voted the flag bearer of the Brazilian delegation at the opening ceremony in a public poll. She finished the games in 23rd place.

At world championships , she won the individual so far two medals. In 2013 she became vice world champion, in 2015 she secured bronze. She also celebrated great success at the Pan American Games . She won gold in 2007 , silver in 2011 and gold again in 2015 .

She is married to the pentathlete Aloísio Sandes .
