Jan Kage
Jan Kage alias Yaneq , formerly also DJ j a n e q (born March 13, 1973 in Bonn ) is a German cultural worker.
biography
Kage studied social and cultural sciences in Berlin and wrote for various magazines. He organizes readings and open mic sessions , and in 2002 his work “American Rap. HipHop and Identity ” , which describes the history of the US hip hop . He was a founding member of the Pflegerlounge , a loose association of Berlin hipsters, which disbanded in 2003 or merged with some of the members to form the Ostblokk group.
In the same year he released the album "Nachts Draussen" with his colleague Freaky Floe . A. Includes guest appearances by Pyranja and FlowinImmO . He also starred in the 2004 movie Status Yo! one of the main roles directed by Till Hastreiter . In 2006 Yaneq released his solo album "Contradictions".
Kage lives and works in Berlin-Kreuzberg .
