listen to berlin is a compilation series that is produced and published annually by the Berlin Music Commission , with the support of the Berlin Senate Chancellery - Cultural Affairs . This sampler is not intended for commercial sale, rather the young Berlin artists and producers selected by a jury of experts will be presented with their innovative sound at national and international music fairs such as Berlin Music Week , Reeperbahnfestival , c / o pop , Midem and South by Southwest , presented to the professional audience. The edition is 10,000 copies each. Most of the songs can also be downloaded free of charge from the SoundCloud online platform . This compilation was published in 2008 under the name "achtung music - new berlin talent", in 2009 it was published for the first time under the title "listen to berlin", under which it has been continued annually since then.
