Hagen Friedrich Liebing (born February 18, 1961 in Berlin ; † September 25, 2016 there ) was a German musician and senior music editor at the Berlin city magazine tip .

Life

Hagen Liebing, nicknamed " The Incredible Hagen ", first played with the pop group friendship , The Rubberbeats and The Nirvana Devils , before joining the doctors in 1986 . The first joint concert was a benefit concert for Norbert Hähnel ("the real Heino") in the Berlin Tempodrom . In contrast to Rodrigo González and Hans "Sahnie" Runge , he was employed bass player and not a member in the true sense of the word (hence the remark "featuring The incredible Hagen" was to be found on every doctor CD he was involved in). Farin Urlaub and Bela B. had given him the choice of either being employed (which meant a fixed wage) or joining completely (which would have meant a profit sharing, but also the carrying of losses of the band). Since Liebing was still studying at that time, he decided to take on the job. In 1988, the doctors disbanded and each went his own way. When the band reunited in 1993, Liebing was no longer there; in his place Rodrigo González became a member of the band.

During his time as a bass player and background singer with the Doctors, he studied media studies . In 1997 Liebing also recorded a song for the doctors tribute album GötterDämmerung and, as part of the 2002 15-year net concert, the doctors recorded the song 2000 Mädchen with them. In 2003 he published his book The Incredible Hagen - My Years with "The Doctors" . In 2002 a benefit single was released for the sports club Tennis Borussia Berlin . Under the label E-Blox and with the melody of the song Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones , the song TeBe was rocked! recorded and pressed as vinyl. The band consisted of Hagen Liebing, Holgi (from Towerblocks ), Denis and Alex (from cueball ).

From 2003 to 2010 Liebing was responsible for press and public relations at Tennis Borussia Berlin .

Hagen Liebing lived with his partner, the radio journalist Anja Caspary , and their two children in Berlin . There he died of a brain tumor on September 25, 2016 at the age of 55 .
