From 18 is the third mini-album by the German punk rock band Die Ärzte , which was released in 1987 in response to the indexing of their albums Debil and Die Ärzte . In addition to the latter, it is the only doctors album that is still indexed in Germany today.

From 18 , the indexed song contains Geschwisterliebe and the indexed songs Claudia hat 'nen shepherd and lullaby at the time the album was released .

Other songs on the record are Sweet Sweet Gwendoline , which appeared on the album Die Ärzte and had not been indexed, but was controversial because of the theming of sadomasochism , as well as the new songs Sie scratches, she stinks, she sticks and Helmut K. , in It is claimed that Helmut Kohl is tyrannizing his wife, as well as Claudia II , the sequel to Claudia has a shepherd dog . After the suicide of Hannelore Kohl in 2001, the doctors distanced themselves from the song Helmut K. and not played it a few years more at their concerts until it on 29 December 2006 at the concert in SO36 took in Berlin back into the set.

The album Ab 18 was indexed on October 31, 1987. However, the doctors of the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People had put a sticker on the CD with the inscription "For reasons of youth protection, this CD may not be sold to young people under 18 and not publicly advertised." The inner cover itself was also indexed on December 31, 1987. Indexings lose their validity 25 years after inclusion in the list, but the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People can issue a follow-up indexing if it still considers the medium to be harmful to young people. From 18 , the following indexing was carried out on September 28, 2012. With decision No. A 336/12 of November 19, 2012 (Pr.858 / 12), the Federal Testing Office for writings harmful to minors lifted the indexing of the cover.

There was a misprint in the title list of the LP in the first edition: Gwendoline was written with y instead of i , this was no longer the case in the second edition.

Despite its indexing, the album reached number 33 on the German album charts. There were no single releases .
