The human beast is the fifth studio album by the German punk rock band Die Ärzte . It was the first album after their re-establishment in 1993 and was released that same year. Rodrigo González had become the band's new bass player.

background

Singles were cry for love , close your eyes (both 1993), Friedenspanzer and Quark (both 1994). The former was the band's most successful single to date.

A new version of the piece with completely new lyrics was published on the Quark Maxi CD under the name Quark (135% politically correct) . According to Quark's promotional insert , the so-called laundry slip , this is the third release. However, as described above, it is the fourth.

In the 1980s, González wrote Bela B's so-called "punk original" of Friedenspanzer; after the band was re-established , Bela B. and González wrote the version released on this album.

Apart from several intros and outros on individual albums of the doctors, the bestie in human form unites with the songs Claudia (part 95) and the popular closing song when it gets evening the shortest or longest “pure” piece of music by the band on one album. While the in (n) tro contained here is the shortest introduction to a doctors album, the shortest outro is on the album Le Frisur .

The album reached number 2 in the German album charts, stayed in the top 10 for 21 weeks and was awarded triple gold .

Trivia

  • “FaFaFa” is an allusion to the song “Die da ?!” by Die Fantastischen Vier . In the 2nd verse you can also hear the intro riff of Metallica's "Master Of Puppets".
  • “With the sword to Poland, why René?” Comes from Depp-Jones's time and was re-recorded for the album. Band manager Axel Schulz acts as the speaker. The original version can be heard on the sampler "XNO - Proud To Be Wrong".
  • "Deutschrockgirl" is a sweeping blow against the German rock scene, to which Die Ärzte are often included. However, the band also mentions their song “Alone in the Night” in a series of German rock hits. At the end there is an allusion to the song “Kissing forbidden” by the band Die Prinzen with “Ass fucking is not allowed with me” .
