This discography is an overview of the musical work of the German music group Die Ärzte .

The band released thirteen studio albums and six live albums through September 2013 . In addition, seven compilations came on the market; one of them exclusively in Japan. Die Ärzte only provide the audio book Men Have No Brain as a free download on their homepage. The concert album Jazzfäst is being sold as a download or a USB stick . By March 2012, 50 singles and EPs had been released.

With the triple live album Nach uns die Sintflut , Die Ärzte first reached number one in the German album charts in 1988. Since 1998, five studio albums and one best-of album have topped the German charts. The most successful single was A Pig called Men with number one placements in 1998 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The singles Unrockbar from 2003 and Junge from 2007 also reached the top of the German charts. The single Schrei nach Liebe from 1993 reached other top positions in the charts when it entered the charts again in 2015 due to Aktion Arschloch .

The doctors were rewarded with numerous gold and platinum records for 7.85 million in Germany, 155,000 in Austria and 133,000 in Switzerland, making them one of the performers with the highest number of BVMI-certified recordings .

The doctors have consisted of the front men Farin Urlaub on guitar and Bela B. on drums since 1982 ; Sahnie was the bass player until 1986 , who was then replaced by Hagen Liebing until the band split up in 1988 (only for concerts, not for studio productions). Since it was founded in 1993, Die Ärzte has been playing with the same cast: Farin Urlaub, Bela B. and bassist Rodrigo González . In most of the songs, either Farin Urlaub or Bela B. sings the melody. Rodrigo González can only be heard in the foreground in a few pieces.

Die Ärzte produced the debut album Debil together with Stan Regal and Matthias Härtl , the album Im Schatten der Ärzte was produced by Micki Meuser and the third studio album entitled Die Ärzte was produced under the direction of producer Manfred Praeker , who also played the bass on the recordings played. Since 1988 and the album That's not the whole truth , the band has been working exclusively with producer Uwe Hoffmann . The band has been producing their own albums since 2007.

Die Ärzte published their first singles on the Berlin independent label Schnick-Schnack (later Vielklang Musikproduktion ). From 1984 until the band split up in 1989, CBS Schallplatten GmbH published the music of Die Ärzte. After the band was re-founded in 1993, a contract was signed with Metronome Musik GmbH , which published and sold the band's recordings until it was dissolved. Since 1998 and the album 13 Die Ärzte have been releasing their productions under the band's own label Hot Action Records . Since then, distribution has been carried out by the German record company Universal Music .
