The album was released - each packed in a steel box - as a double CD and a limited 5-disc vinyl album. An a-shaped recess is punched into the steel box. By “rearranging” the CD sleeves or LPs, the “ä” appears either red or green (booklet), white or yellow (CD 1), black or blue (CD 2) through the omission.
The first CD contains - in chronological order - all 23 singles of the band since 1993. Since Quark / Kopfüber in die Hölle and Come back / Die Banane are two double A-side singles, this results in 25 tracks. Quark is the only track that is not included in the (lyrically changed) single version, but in the album version.
The second CD contains a selection of 25 B-sides since 1993 - except for the summary (Extended 1–13), also sorted chronologically. Each of the two CDs has a playing time of almost 90 minutes. This was achieved by extremely exhausting the track density of the audio CD, which, however, causes problems when playing some older CD players.
On the vinyl version, the B-sides are in proper style on the B-sides of the LPs, while the singles are on the A-sides. Within this sorting (A / B sides), however, the tracks are sorted chronologically, as with the CD version.
New or unpublished recordings are not included. All titles have been remastered . The reason for the publication of the best-of compilation is the expiring distribution contract with the record company Universal Records .
The album comes with a booklet in which all the singles by Farin Urlaub , Bela B. and Rodrigo González as well as numerous companions were commented on. The B-sides were only commented on as a whole at the beginning.
On October 20, 2006, the album went straight to number one in Austria and Germany on the official long player charts. The album debuted at number 4 in Switzerland.
