5, 6, 7, 8 - Bull State! is an album by the German punk rock band Die Ärzte and was only sold on tours. The album was also available from the band's former fan club and is always available for download there, as well as on the band's official website.

The CD is the successor to the 1995 vinyl published EP 1, 2, 3, 4 - Bull state! which was also only sold at concerts. The EP contained several cover versions of German-language songs from punk and new wave as well as a new recording of the song "Paul" from the album Debil with changed lyrics.

For 5, 6, 7, 8 - bull state! 25 songs were recorded, however McDonald's and I'm happy were already played by Soilent Grün . The album was only released on CD and contains the tracks from EP 1, 2, 3, 4 - Bullenstaat! as bonus tracks.

On the record labels Für Immer Punk and State of Pigs Records different versions of the album 5, 6, 7, 8 Bullenstaat! released as LPs. In the version of Forever Punk, the EP was pressed once on red and blue vinyl and instead of the tracks from the EP it contains 1, 2, 3, 4 Bullenstaat! the songs of a live recording by the doctors from 1983. Most of these songs have never been officially released. Both versions are limited to 500 LPs. An unofficial release of the State of Pigs label contains the same tracklist of the album that was already released on CD, but on LP and under the name 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Bullenstaat! ; the cover has also been changed.
