Anja Caspary (born December 13, 1964 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German radio journalist from Berlin .

Life

After training as a physiotherapist and gymnastics teacher at the Medau School in Coburg , she studied German and theater studies at the Free University of Berlin. She joined the Sender Free Berlin (SFB) in 1989 as a reporter. From 1990 Anja Caspary moderated the youth broadcaster Radio 4U and could also be heard on ARD Popnacht. From 1992 she switched to the Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg (ORB), where she helped set up the Fritz radio . As part of the listener chart program Fritz Roadshow , she and Ansa Seidenstücker surprised listeners in the entire Brandenburg broadcasting area at home without prior notice. From 1995 to 1997 she switched to television and presented programs on the music channel VH-1 Germany .

Since founding Radio Eins at Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) in 1997, she has hosted magazines in the daytime program, special programs such as The Long Night of Opera and Theater and The Long Night of Museums . Every Monday evening she could be heard on her own program, Radio Affair , a bridge between classic rock and the latest music. A trademark of the show was the long groove , in which music tracks with excess length were played, which was a specialty in the German public radio landscape.

In August 2012 she was nominated by the Grimme Institute for the German Radio Prize in the “Best Moderator” category. In September 2015 she took over the management of the Radio Eins music editorial team as the successor to Peter Radszuhn, who died in 2014 .

Since 2007 Anja Caspary has also worked as a DJ for Rock AG in the Berlin club Lido .

Anja Caspary was in a relationship with Hagen Liebing , who died in 2016 , and lives with their two children in Berlin.
