Siriusmo 2017

Siriusmo (bourgeois Moritz Friedrich , born 1976 or 1977) is a Berlin music producer . His tracks can be described in the broadest sense as techno or electronic pieces and are underlaid with a variety of samples .

biography

Siriusmo grew up in Berlin-Friedrichshagen and learned the profession of plasterer . On the side he founded a fusion band. According to his own statements, he was musically influenced by the English producer Squarepusher . His friendship with the Berlin musicians Sebastian Szary and Gernot Bronsert, also known as Modeselektor , led to the joint project Siriusmodeselektor, with which the trio went on tour in 2015.

In the course of his career, which began with the single "Ne Me Quitte Pas" in 2000, he brought numerous records onto the market. Over time, these appeared on different labels . Including the Modeselektor own Monkeytown Records , Grand Petrol Recordings and Boys Noize Records . He also published a large number of remixes, for example for Gossip , Digitalism , Scissor Sisters , Simian Mobile Disco , Boys Noize and Sido . His debut album Mosaik and the pre-EP Feronomikon / Signal appeared on Monkeytown Records in February 2011 and offers a genre mix at the intersection of techno, house , dubstep and hip-hop . In addition to his work as a producer, he works as a graffiti artist and illustrator. In 2012 he released a new EP Doctor Beak's Rantanplant to bridge the time until the next album. This was published with the title Enthusiast in June 2013. Nicola Rost von Laing , Roman Geike and Icke from Icke & Er will sing it .

In September 2017 Siriusmo reports back to Monkeytown. His single "Where was I?" is the pioneer of the subsequent third studio album "Comic".
