Yanic Truesdale (born March 17, 1970 in Montreal , Canada ) is a Canadian actor . His mother tongue is French.

biography

Truesdale graduated from the National Theater School of Canada in 1990 and has since appeared on numerous Canadian television series such as He Shoots, He Scores . In 1996 he was nominated for the Canadian Gemini Award for his role in the sitcom Roommates , in which he played the only dark-skinned son of white parents .

Looking for new challenges, Truesdale went to the USA in 1999 , where he studied at the famous Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York . A year later he moved to Los Angeles and received the role of French hotel receptionist Michel Gerard in the series Gilmore Girls , which he impersonated from 2000 to 2007 and 2016. In 2003 Truesdale starred in the TV movie See Jane Date, alongside other series stars such as Holly Marie Combs and Charisma Carpenter . This was followed by roles in various series, and his oeuvre includes two dozen productions.
