Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Lee Carpenter (born July 23, 1970 in Las Vegas , Nevada ) is an American actress .
Life
Carpenter began dancing classical ballet at the early age of five . As a teenager, she took part in several smaller beauty pageants . In 1991 she was an NFL cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers .
An advertising agent discovered Carpenter while she was in college while she was waiting at a Los Angeles restaurant . She was later featured in more than twenty commercials. She played her first small television role alongside David Hasselhoff in the series Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu . She became known in the role of Cordelia Chase in the series Buffy - The Vampire Slayer or the Buffy spin-off Angel - Hunter of Darkness . After leaving Angel , she appeared in several episodes of the Alicia Silverstone series Kate Fox & Love and in 2004 in three episodes of the Charmed series. She then worked - like Buffy colleague Alyson Hannigan - in the series Veronica Mars . In 2010 Carpenter starred with Sylvester Stallone , Jason Statham , Jet Li , Dolph Lundgren and Mickey Rourke in The Expendables, and in 2012 in its sequel The Expendables 2 .
In 2004, Carpenter posed for the US edition of Playboy .
Personal
From October 2002 to July 2008 she was married to Damian Hardy. Their son was born in March 2003. Due to her unforeseen pregnancy, the scripts for the fourth season of Angel had to be heavily revised.
