action

Dewey, Jay and Phil are invited to their friend Scott's wedding and drive there together in Dewey's classic convertible, a 1959 Thunderbird. Jay's relationship has just broken up after he caught his girlfriend in the shower with the postman. Dewey bets Jay whether Jay will have sex (a one night stand) anytime soon; if he doesn't, Dewey wants to flirt with Jay's sister. In return, Dewey should refrain from sex these days. If he doesn't make it, Jay will get his car in this case.

The wedding celebrations take place in a large Santa Barbara mansion because the bride's father is a very wealthy businessman.

Upon arrival, Jay discovers that Scott's fiancée is Reese (Therese), with whom he previously had a relationship. He learns that Scott wants to marry her for financial reasons. Her father is said to invest $ 12 million in an Internet project. Jay is still in love with Reese, but the bet forces him to court the bridesmaid, Brooke.

In the end, Reese abandons Scott's wedding and gets back together with Jay.

Reviews

Michael Rechtsshaffen wrote in The Hollywood Reporter magazine that the film was a "limp sex comedy" .

Kevin Thomas wrote in the Los Angeles Times on February 27, 2004 that the film was a routine, replaceable romantic comedy that offered young actors a stage on which they would show that they were capable of better performance. It is more tasteless than amusing.

backgrounds
