Yargo is both a commune ( French commune rurale ) and a department encompassing the same area in the West African state of Burkina Faso , in the Center-Est region and in the Kouritenga province . The community has 14,608 inhabitants in 21 villages.

Yargo is the birthplace of the Catholic Bishop of Kaya , Théophile Nare .
