history

The diocese of Kaya was on June 26, 1969 by Pope Paul VI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Ad patrisfamilias from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Koupéla and the Archdiocese of Ouagadougou . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Koupéla as a suffragan .
