Théophile Nare (born July 7, 1966 in Yargo , Burkina Faso ) is a Burkinabe clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Kaya .

Life

Théophile Nare studied at the interdiocesan seminaries of Wayalghin and Koumi. On July 8, 1995, he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Koupéla .

After his ordination he was parish vicar at the cathedral of Koupéla until 2000 . He then studied at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome and at the École biblique in Jerusalem. He obtained a licentiate in biblical theology and a degree in priestly formation from the Institut de formation pour éducateurs du Clergé in Paris. From 2005 to 2006 he was parish administrator at the Cathedral of Koupéla and then until 2011 lecturer in Biblical Exegesis at the Seminary of Wayalghin. From 2011 to 2018 he was a lecturer in exegesis at the seminary in Koumi, which he also directed as Regens .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Kaya on December 7, 2018. He received his episcopal ordination on March 2nd of the following year.
