António Juliasse Ferreira Sandramo

António Juliasse Ferreira Sandramo (born March 20, 1968 in Soalpo , Manica ) is a Mozambican clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Maputo .

Life

António Ferreira July aces sandramo attended the preparatory course in Beira and then studied at the inter-diocesan seminary in Matola and Maputo . On June 28, 1998, he received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Chimoio .

In addition to pastoral work, he was coordinator of the diocesan liturgy commission from 1998 and then coordinator of the youth pastoral care commission until 2003. He co-founded two non-profit organizations dedicated to preventing HIV among young people and helping young people affected by poverty and neglect. From 2005 to 2009 he stayed for further studies. At the Catholic University of Portugal he acquired the licentiate in dogmatic theology and the New University of Lisbon , the degree in anthropology . He also obtained a master's degree in African studies from the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE) . From 2010 he was pastor in Soalpo and diocesan coordinator for pastoral care. Since 2014 he was the cathedral priest at the cathedral of Chimoio and episcopal vicar for the central region of the diocese. He was a member of the priestly council and was secretary of the culture commission for the bishops' conference . He was a lecturer in anthropology at the Catholic University of Mozambique .

Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Arsennaria and auxiliary bishop in Maputo on December 7, 2018 . He received his episcopal ordination on February 17th of the following year.
