The Roman Catholic Diocese of Koudougou ( Latin Dioecesis Kuduguensis , French Diocèse de Koudougou ) is in Burkina Faso situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Koudougou .
history
Pope Pius XII founded the Apostolic Prefecture Ouahigouya with the Apostolic Constitution Quo in Africa on June 12, 1947 from cessions of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate Ouagadougou . She was raised to the Apostolic Vicariate on June 14, 1954 , which took its current name.
With the bull Dum tantis it was raised on September 14, 1955 to the diocese, which was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Ouagadougou as a suffragan . On June 23, 1958, it gave up parts of its territory to establish the diocese of Ouahigouya .
